Double R Cattle Company is located in Sandia, which is in South Texas. The homestead was built in 1851. Our grandfather bought the place in 1919 and ran a dairy farm off it for awhile. In the 1960’s, we ran Black Angus cattle on the ranch. After our parents moved to Amarillo, they sold everything and no one in the family had cattle. Today the ranch is owned
by our Aunt Marian. This past year we decided to lease the ranch from
our aunt and raise cattle. We did a lot of research and decided that
registered Texas Longhorns were the breed we wanted to invest in. We
look forward to raising superior registered Texas Longhorns. We hope
